HTC One mini - Techzine (Blog)

In the first quarter of this year the HTC One appeared on the market, a unit of 4.7 inches with a Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and the housing was mainly made of aluminum. The device was welcomed by many media, also Techzine we wrote an extensive review on this unit. The positives were then the good performance, sound quality, rugged casing and good screen. The negatives were the disappointing Ultra Pixel camera, the plastic sides, the phone easily slips out of your hand and finally the limited notification center in Android.

In this review I am going to see what HTC has done with the HTC One mini. Is it just a cheaper version of the big brother or the company has also done some of the criticism received? I compare the HTC One mini therefore partly with the larger HTC One, but I will also compare the device with the Galaxy S III and Galaxy mini mini S4. The HTC One mini cost at the time of writing about 425 euros, which the device for a mini version called on the pricey side and gets a lot more competition for his teeth. If we take the price and screen size as a guide, then the Xperia ZR also a formidable competitor and perhaps the Huawei Ascend P6, though it is quite a bit bigger.

HTC is currently one of the manufacturers who has difficulties, the company will lose market share at a furious pace to the competition and wrote last quarter for the first time ever at a loss. The big question is whether there is still a future for HTC or that the company will be able to sell to a larger party with more financial resources to remain on the smartphone market.
