HTC One GPE: Android 4.4 KitKat is ready - Android World

HTC spent like its competitor Samsung has a Google Play Edition (GPE) of its flagship device. The HTC One IPU runs on stock Android and is not equipped with its own layer of HTC Sense. In short it is an HTC Nexus One with experience.

This device could theoretically get to Android KitKat because this unit is not equipped with the additional software from HTC. an update very soon This theory appears to actually work in practice because just two weeks after the launch of Android KitKat HTC has done his homework.
