The current record is common to a thickness of 6.18 mm for the Huawei Ascend P6. The HTC One Max with a thickness of 10.3 mm, the thickest of the three phablet, already know HTC to hide by running. Around the back of the device thickness The thinner edges on the side of the device, the HTC Max One thus looks almost as thin as the Sony Xperia S Ultra. Due to its thickness, the HTC HTC One Max be able to provide comparison with the other two phablets. Of the most powerful battery

Display
The Sony Xperia S Ultra perches honor to be run away with the largest screen of all three phablets. The display of the Sony Xperia S Ultra measuring a diameter of up to 6.4 inches. The HTC One Max loves more the middle of all phablets in this battle with a diameter of 5.9 inches and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is still the closest thing to a smartphone with a screen diagonal of 5.7 inches. All three smartphones have a full HD screen resolution.

The display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 stands out in terms of color. The Super AMOLED display technology has a very large color depth. The S-LCD3 screen of the HTC Max knows how to strike a balance between brightness and color, good balance and provides the most natural image and color reproduction. The Sony Xperia S Ultra has a regular TFT screen where the image quality is enhanced by Sony’s proprietary Mobile Bravia Engine. Despite this improvement, the screen of the Sony Xperia S Ultra despite its large diagonal least spectacular in terms of display quality.

Each pen or pencil can be used to write notes to the Sony Xperia S Ultra

A major advantage for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as the Sony Xperia S Ultra is the ability to devices with a stylus to operate. This makes it possible to the drawings and to make handwritten notes on the screen of both phablets. Samsung is supplying for its highly developed and interactive S-Pen with it, the Sony Xperia S Ultra can be used to create on the screen. Digital drawings or notes any pen or pencil

Camera
In the field of camera showing the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Sony Xperia S and the HTC One Ultra Max differences. The Galaxy Note 3 has a very good 13-megapixel camera. The Sony Xperia S Ultra has a “just good” 8 megapxielcamera and HTC One Max has a ‘Ultra Pixel camera with a resolution of 4 megapixels.

Ultra Pixel camera of the HTC Max
Ultra Pixel camera of the HTC Max

In terms of image and video quality all the three smartphones to deliver. Wonderful pictures The Ultra Pixel camera of HTC would by its large aperture and larger pixels in the sensor must yield a resolution of 4 megapixels. Significantly better quality pictures In practice, a compressed 13-megapixel images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 appears at least to match., The quality of the pictures of the HTC Max Or Ultra Pixel technology has an added value, thus the question. In our opinion, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 best camera, both in terms of resolution and image quality.

Storage and memory
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 HTC One Max and Sony Xperia S Ultra All three are available in the Netherlands in a version with 16 gigabytes of storage. Samsung and HTC also offer a 32 gigabyte version of their phablet and Samsung has even internationally a 64 gigabyte version of its Galaxy Note 3. All three phablets the storage capacity can be expanded with MicroSD memory cards up to 64 gigabytes.

In terms of memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 wins battle with flying colors. The Galaxy Note 3 is so far the first and only smartphone that has no less than 3 gigabytes of RAM available. This makes the device theoretically the fastest phablet in the market.

Processor
From memory, the leap to the processor is a logical step. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on paper also in terms of the fastest processor phablet. With a rounding trick Samsung indicates that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor. Sony is what ‘honest’ and indicates that its Xperia S Ultra runs on a 2.26 GHz quad-core processor. Bottom line is therefore concerned with the exact same Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 800. The HTC One Max is a bit of an outsider because phablet this have to do with “only” a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, which is still “rete-fast ‘is …

Network Support
All three phablets are prepared for the future. Both the Galaxy 3 Samsung, Sony Xperia S Ultra Max when One HTC offer besides extensive 2G (GSM) and 3G (UMTS) also supports the next-generation 4G (LTE) networks in the Netherlands.

Sony Xperia S Ultra you the best for the future of 4G. This phablet can with as many as eight different LTE frequencies crossing, which the device can be. Almost used all over the world in 4G networks The HTC One Max supports the four most commonly used frequencies 4G, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a little more with support for the six most common 4G frequencies.

In the field of 3G support is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra clearly the most comprehensive. The Sony Xperia S Ultra can handle five different 3G networks, where the Galaxy Note 3 ‘only’ four supported and HTC One Max even need to ask that supports “only” three different 3G frequencies. In practice this is hardly noticeable because virtually the whole world uses frequencies in the 900 and 2100 MHz band. These frequencies support all three phablets from this battle.

Battery
The battery is one of the few points on which the HTC One Max profit know address. Despite of the device in terms of dimensions and screen size allows the middle between the Galaxy Note 3 and the Xperia Z Ultra Max One has nevertheless been the most powerful battery. The battery in the HTC One Max has a capacity of 3300 mAh. The significantly larger Xperia S Ultra, which logically also consumes more energy through its 6.4-inch screen, has been given a lower battery capacity of 3050 mAh. This concession was Sony do to get the device. So flat The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will in practice with its 3200 mAh battery provide similar results as the HTC One Max 100 mAh battery, but because it is lighter and the unit has a slightly smaller screen than the HTC One Max.

Android OS
All three phablets from this battle run on the Android operating system. By default the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One Max the most up-to-date. Both phablets turning namely Android 4.3. The Sony Xperia S Ultra is pre-loaded with Android 4.2. However, in practice it does not really make any difference whether chosen for one of the three phablets. Meanwhile Sony has released an update to Android 4.3 available for its Xperia S Ultra and all three manufacturers have already announced that all three sets an update to Android 4.4 Kitkat will be received.

early 2014 Best phablet of autumn 2013?
Samsung is a boulder in the paper winning this battle. If we look at all the blue marked ‘pluses’ compared to the other devices in the above equation the Galaxy 3 comes out with some pluses head and shoulders above the rest. Incidentally, does the Xperia S Ultra good business through its large display, waterproof and extremely thin design. The HTC One Max is on paper a bit of an underdog and holds almost all the middle between the Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia S Ultra.

When viewed from using experience to the three different phablets, must naturally be wondered whether the extremely large 6.4 inch display in the Xperia Z Ultra so practical is that the ‘plastic’ body of the Galaxy Note 3 fits with such an expensive device. Also the fact that by stating that its 2.3GHz quad-core processor is faster than the 2.26 GHz quad-core processor in the Sony Xperia S Samsung ‘cheat’ Samsung Ultra delivers paper points, but in practice Certainly not.

Although the HTC One Max on paper a little like underdog comes out, the smartphone does know the most interesting designs. HTC has also considered a very important aspect: endurance. Powered by a large battery provides the unit a great endurance. With its 5.9-inch screen of the HTC One Max phablet probably the ideal size of the moment. Although taste and preference for free format personally we would say that the HTC Max One might still be …

designated as the winner of this battle
