December 15, 2013 – The specifications of the black version of the HTC Max are otherwise exactly the same as the original silver edition. The HTC Max One runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and uses a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The 16GB or 32GB memory expandable via microSD. Remarkably, the One Max – like the competing iPhone 5S – has a fingerprint scanner. It is located at the rear of the unit and you can program it in three different fingerprints, which you can immediately unlock the device or app to boot.
At the back of the One Max also contains a 4-megapixel Ultra Pixel camera, known for the HTC One (however, unlike that device is missing the max-performance Optical Image Stabilizer). On the front is the One Max features a 2.1-megapixel front camera. HTC’s phablet is also the first device with the new HTC Sense 5.5 interface. Here are some improvements for HTC Blink Feed (this can be further refined by adjusting subject categories and new integration with content providers like Instagram and Google+) applied and also to know the camera and picture galleries small improvements. The One Max is HTC’s first device in the One series without Beats Audio technology, but does like the other models do have Boom Sound speakers for good audio quality.
The black edition of the HTC Max appears at first only in Hong Kong: It is not known when this version comes to the Netherlands. The silver edition of the One Max is currently in Dutch stores for a suggested retail price of 749 euros.
